North Carolina is no longer going to automatically reward teachers for getting them.
This is great news, given how worthless both they, and education degrees in general, are. It’s bad news for schools of education, though. Which is good news for the rest of us, particularly school kids.
It’s been QUITE interesting here in NC since the Republicans took over. You would think the Majority Party and the Governor had horns, hooves, forked tongues and a tail with a barbed end.
The Leftist ‘opposition’ has been holding a huge protest / meeting around the Legislature Building. They carry signs supporting every Lefty cause you can name, most of which are about getting money and or power for free, from the State Coffers. My wife works in the building next to where they’ve been meeting.
I sat there one day and watched buses from all over NC show up and disgorge. I also saw buses from SC and VA too. One came all the way from Maryland. The people protesting even wore shirts and carried signs proclaiming that they weren’t from NC. But that day they were ESPECIALLY important to ALL Leftists.
It was about Abortion that day, so the out of state supporters came in droves. I just realized that I had forgotten to tell you what they’ve named these weekly meetings. Even the abortion supporters stuck with the name given to these semi-official weekly confab put on by NC Democrats and Liberals.
And as the Republican Party is wholly immoral in all they say, do, and Legislate, the Left call their protests “Moral Mondays”.
After all, what’s more MORAL than taking from the rich and giving to yourself. What’s more MORAL than than busing children an hour from home to prove to them that they can get JUST as good an education 30 miles from home, as they could at the school two blocks from home. And finally, what could EVER be more MORAL than than than killing an unborn fetus, right?
UPDATE: the Legislative Session ceased, ended, completed, finito’d, boom fini pow’d, and most have returned home.
But that won’t stop the followers of the hard core Left.
They have decided, ESPECIALLY the Teachers, to hold yet another Moral Monday meeting / protest. However [comma] they will NOT be doing their protesting at the Legislative Bldg the elected worms having crawled away. They’re going to be meeting / protesting closer to the business center of Downtown Raleigh, on the grounds of the State Capitol Building.
They’ve vowed to block the streets during rush hour to show teacher / Leftist protestor solidarity. I’m hoping the teachers learn about the solidarity of automobile bumpers.
