  1. The ACA as enacted does clearly say that if you like your coverage, you can keep it.

Just another example of blatant fraud included to provide cover, but they misjudged its ability to do so.

  2. Romer well illustrates the seedy side of economics, namely, rationalizing bad choices with pseudo scientific authority in favor of the powerful. I’m reminded of this choice statement by Jim:

Christina Romer is a renown, well-respected economist. She would have made the same projection whether she was the head of the Council of Economic Advisers or still an academic. She doesn’t have a crystal ball, but then neither does anyone else.

Notice how scarce Jim has been around here lately? Of course he could just be ill, or tired of his role as Baghdad Jim. It’s probably getting to be as humiliating as being Baghdad Bob got to be for Muhammed Saeef al-Sahaf. But those of us who visit the Ann Althouse blog have noticed how generally quiet and absent the usual Hive scriptbots have been in the pro-freedom blogosphere as the script gets increasing transparent and dopey. Some think it may be embarrassment, while others think they are regrouping and waiting for Hive Central to pass down the new improved party line for them to parrot. As soon as the Word is passed on to the faithful Eloi, expect to see Baghdad Jim again.
