When The Lies No Longer Work

It would appear that day has arrived.

The Dems on the Hill aren’t very happy with him, either.

[Update a few minutes later]

This is the most encouraging poll result, I think:

Gallup has been asking the question since 2000. “Prior to 2009, a clear majority of Americans consistently had said the government should take responsibility for ensuring that all Americans have healthcare,” the firm reports. The proportion answering “yes” peaked in 2006 at 69%–27 points higher than today’s number. Then it began declining, to 64% in 2007 and 54% in 2008.

The current 42% is the lowest figure ever recorded, but the percentage answering in the affirmative hasn’t risen above 50% since 2009. Remember what happened in 2009? . . .

Perhaps the most dramatic finding: The proportion of Democrats who say it isn’t the federal government’s responsibility in 2013 (30%) is higher than the proportion of all voters who said the same thing in 2006 (28%).

This could provide a political opportunity to get the federal government out of a lot of things it has no business doing and isn’t very good at.

  1. a political opportunity

Only if the tea party is wildly successful in the next two elections. Many, like Ann Coulter and Karl Rove, believe it’s more important to win even with RINOs. I understand their view, but completely disagree. There is no point winning if winning elections means continuing to lose our representatives votes to the other side because they have no convictions.

We could have defunded ObamaCare this last time. To say we couldn’t is only to acknowledge the lack of conviction in the old elite GOP. Our fight is generational and can not be won by the old guard that doesn’t have to win (after being elected) to take advantage of the perks they get.

    It’s really not about Obama.

    1. We could have defunded ObamaCare this last time. To say we couldn’t is only to acknowledge the lack of conviction in the old elite GOP.

The obstacle wasn’t the old elite GOP, it was the fact that you can’t defund Obamacare without Obama’s signature, and that was never, ever going to happen.

      1. “The obstacle wasn’t the old elite GOP, it was the fact that you can’t defund Obamacare without Obama’s signature, and that was never, ever going to happen.”

And yet you carp about the fact that in the last 3.5 years the GOP has done nothing to solve health insurance issues in the nation.

        Do you ever cross-check yourself..?

        EVER?

We give you your very own statement and you ignore or discount it.

      2. Shutting down the government instead of delaying Obamacare a year is looking pretty stupid. Then when Republicans and Democrats offer a legislative fix to allow people to keep their old insurance Obama vows to veto and also declares everyone can keep their insurance. I don’t even know a word that carries the appropriate connotations for how stupid this is. Its all Baracked up.

This week Obama tried to bypass his own website and force insurance companies to process subsidy requirements but then it is pointed out his own law forbids this. Did Obama even read Obamacare? It looks like he didn’t which explains why he keeps claiming it does things it doesn’t and gives him powers that it forbids. Oh man we are so Baracked.
