If You Like Your Un-Nuked Country

…you can keep your un-nuked country. Period:

“The US delegation reaffirmed our commitment to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon,” said a White House statement released after talks in Jerusalem between Rice, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior officials from both sides.

“The delegations held thorough consultations on all aspects of the challenge posed by Iran, and pledged to continue the unprecedented coordination between the United States and Israel,” it added.”

I’m sure that Israel feels much more secure now.

  1. I guess we can look forward to the “#NoNukes” campaign by the State Department, because the #BringBackOurGirls is a roaring success in showing Boko Harem the errors of their way.

  2. Iran already has nuclear weapons, or as good as. 5% and 20% enrichment is actually 75% and 90% of weapons grade in terms of seperative work units. And they already haave more than enough seperation capacity to run their “low” enrichment materials through and produce HEU in a matter of a weeks or days. All of the remaining bits of nuclear weapons design are well within Iran’s industrial and scientific capacity and can easily be developed and tested in utter secrecy. Even Uranium metallurgy is easy to do using samples of natural Uranium.

Anyone who doesn’t think that Iran has the capacity to field an operational nuclear weapon in a short amount of time is either delusional about Iran’s nuclear ambitious or technologically illiterate when it comes to nuclear weapons production.

The fact that Iran has acquired the capability, and the Saudis are on their way to match it, is just one of the many great shames of this administration and the last.

    1. nuclear bombs aren’t magic, it’s a little bit of physics and a truckload of work.
The US Spent 13 billion in WW2 1940’s dollars to do that.
Now I suspect a decent nuclear program can be done for about $2 Billion.

The Physics was so simple they didn’t even test fire the uranium weapon.

Pakistan, India, North Korea all joined the club.

Now I think that nukes are strategically silly but they are diplomatically important.
Iran will join this club because their neighbors India and Pakistan and Israel have them.
