  1. The remark about her having 30,000 personal e-mails on her server seems a little odd to me. I have a gmail account that contains all of my personal email starting in 2005 – I’ve never deleted a single one. I email more than the average person, and the total count of personal emails for that 10 year period is 13,488. I’m also a federal employee, and receive an average of 90 emails a day on my .gov account. That works out to 22,230 a year, or 88,920 for four years. I can’t imagine that she could have had 60,000 official and 30,000 personal emails in 4 years, but I can imagine she would have 90,000 official ones, because I have about that many. But no one can now ever prove anything. This really is criminal behavior, but without any proof, we will never know what crimes were committed.

    1. Not that I disagree with your estimates, but it’s at least plausible that she’s personally signed up for a listserv or two. JournoList wouldn’t be -official- emails, for instance.
