OK. As promised, I’m in.
The last campaign was 30 days. This one is only half that with three times the goal. Was the change your idea or did Kickstarter change their rules?
In general, Kickstarter says that shorter deadlines tend to be more successful, because they create more of a sense of urgency. Unless you’re having trouble publicizing it, more time doesn’t really help that much. People are going to donate or not; I don’t think many will be pondering it for weeks.
Also, the sooner I get funded, the better. 🙂
As it is, if it gets funded, I won’t get the money until the end of the month.
Does this mean we can look forward to a *fourth* Rand Simberg Twitter account?
Maybe. Depends on how things go, and if the result justifies it.
