The Coming Democrat Implosion

Kurt Schlichter agrees with me that the Dems should be more worried about another 1968 than the Republicans should be about a repeat of 1992. I disagree with this, though:

Back in 1968, the Democrat Party was divided between liberals who loved America and liberalsleftists who hated everything about it. The situation is a little different now, with today’s Democrat Party divided between liberalsleftists who hate everything about America and liberalsleftists who really, really hate everything about it.

Fixed it for him.

[Update a few minutes later]

This is a nice summary:

Nineteen sixty-eight was the year normal Americans saw the Democrats for what they were, and that’s the danger for them in 2016 too – that normal Americans will be reminded about what a circus of welfare-chiseling, race-obsessed, work-averse, baby-shredding freaks the Democrat party is.

I hope so.

  1. The problem is that there are now more Americans who want to be given everything, want to do nothing yet still get anything they want, and they love the Democrats. Just look at Jim and all his ‘fun’.

    1. When the chickens come home to roost (as they always do when statists rule), Baghdad Jim’s “fun” is going to be severely limited. What these Stockholm Syndrome “liberals” never realize is that Big Brother isn’t anywhere near as loyal to them as they are to Him.

  2. My favorite part:

“Hillary is America’s First Wife, a sour, sexless, disapproving presence eager to spend the next eight years telling us all how we are failing to measure up to her exacting standards.”

“Instapundit” has a link to this article, too, and he calls Hillary “the Dowager Empress of Chappaqua.” Beautiful.

      1. The difference being is that at the horniest I’ve ever been I’ve never, ever wanted to see Hillary naked.

Bea Arthur, on the other hand . . . . rrrrowwwf!

  3. “normal Americans will be reminded about what a circus of welfare-chiseling, race-obsessed, climate-obsessed, inequality-obsessed, border-obsessed, work-averse, baby-shredding freaks the Democrat party is.”

  4. Why worry? The Sunday NYT had another in its irregular series of above-the-fold features about how China is attaining world domination. It’s a mystery, as they say, how to deal with such a rising power that has a chip on its shoulder, but we’ll figure it out.

Because we’ll have to, it’s our place to fade away gracefully.
