Colleges are teaching young people that 911 (an event they can barely remember) was our fault. Of course, they teach them that everything bad in the world is our fault, thanks to Howard Zinn and others.

Ta-Nihisi Coates’s new book shows that he’s is right up there with Zinn. There was a (generally) loving discussion of it in the Sunday NYT Book review yesterday.
It seems that the “American Dream” is a fraud that all African-Americans should reject, especially those who’ve succeeded by buying into it. That’s because every inch of it is contingent – yesterday, today and tomorrow – upon keeping a Black underclass oppressed and under constant physical assault.
Face it, you have nothing to do with your own success. There’s only the Dream whose flip side is oppression. Oh, and while the Dream ‘only’ destroyed Black people in the past, it’s now destroying the whole Earth’s ecology.
His alternative is the “Struggle,” and in his modern version destroying the Dream is integral to it. What he wants to replace it with isn’t clear from the review. Maybe he has to catch up on his Marx, Lenin and Mao.
Nihilism is a tool of the Party Vanguard. It doesn’t matter what you replace something with, as long as you destroy, destroy, destroy.
This is Cultural Bolshevism. America in general, and white people in particular, are too successful, work too hard, believe too much in their society and institutions, are too proud of themselves and the civilization which their ancestors built, and have too much “social capital.” The Party Vanguard must take this “social capital” away from white people and redistribute it to everyone else, and they do this by tearing down our societal institutions, by importing tens of millions of unassimilable illiterate Third World peasants who hate us and hate our culture, by turning our cities into nightmarish Third World hellscapes of violence and horror, by corrupting and destroying democracy, by replacing the rule of law with the whimsical diktats of unelected dictators in black robes. This is necessary in order to prepare the way for Scientific Marxism-Leninism, under which the stupid proles (that’s us, by the way) will be led, at bayonet point if need be, to a new light of enlightened civilization by the Party Vanguard.
There’s a lot of poison in higher ed right now. Sadly, there’s little will, and even less ability, to dig it out.
The students who are actively slurping this venom up remind of the group of Cambridge or Oxford male students who in 1935 swore a oath “never to serve King or Country” or something like that. Several years later they were forced to revise their opinions due to events like Dunkirk, the Battle of Britain, and El Alamein. They received their reeducation the hard way.
Then there was the Philby crowd….
Our friends to the left may always take up whatever anti-American position our enemies espouse but don’t dare say they hate the USA.
It won’t be long before they say Iran has a right to nuclear weapons, that we should help pay for them, and that Iran only wants nuclear weapons because of X or Y historical event perpetrated by the USA.
I would gladly kick in $100 to get this racist scum Coates a one-way ticket to some Black-ruled utopia. his choice–Haiti, Zimbabwe, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Nigeria….
