  1. Obama: “It is entirely possible that these two attackers were radicalized to commit this act of terror.

And if they weren’t radicalized, would that mean they were moderates? Because they committed the act, and they did so pledging allegiance to an organization that the US considers a terrorist organization. But whatever Mx. President, if you consider them possible moderates…

all of us—government, law enforcement, communities, faith leaders—need to work together to prevent people from falling victim to these hateful ideologies.

Well, they spent a week in Saudi Arabia before coming back to the US. What should the San Bernardino community have done to prevent the killers from becoming victims of ISIS? Why are you calling the shooters “victims”, Mx. President?

More broadly, this tragedy reminds us of our obligation to do everything in our power, together, to keep our communities safe.

Do you mean like “if you see something, say something”? Because your AG promised to investigate the people who might say something.

For example, right now, people on the No-Fly list can walk into a store and buy a gun. That is insane.

Were the Farook’s on a no fly list? If so, how did they travel from Saudi Arabia to the US? If they are on a No-Fly list, why were they allowed into the country. That is insane.

Today in San Bernardino, investigators are searching for answers.

Well not the FBI, because they already concluded their search and handed back a crime scene back to a landlord, who let in the media to search for answers. The media didn’t find much, but they did find documents the family wanted to shred.

Across our country, our law enforcement professionals are tireless.

Did someone steal their tires? Not to worry, because local law enforcement is reminding people they should protect themselves, because the police can’t be everywhere. It is even tougher without tires.

They’re working around the clock—as always—to protect our communities.

Except for the FBI, because they are done. Well done with the Farook’s. I guess the AG has the FBI investigating the neighbor that saw something to see what anti-muslim sentiment the neighbor has.

We will uphold our values—a free and open society.

Yes we will, Mx. President. We won’t let your AG suppress our freedom of speech, and we won’t let you disarm us. We, the people, will maintain our free and open society.

    1. This is pretty common, especially with environmentalists. Among Democrats, it is a well known tactic to intentionally funnel money to activists groups. While it wasn’t necessarily advocated, I learned about it in some elective MPA classes from a local prominent Democrat who retired from politics to teach.

    1. Hey Alan! Good to see we are both still on this planet.

The reason Mitch is still there is that our new governor, who primaried Mtich, wouldn’t have beat the horse-faced Ashley Judd stand after he got caught an an Eastern Kentucky dog-fight meet and then argued that the Founding Fathers loved dog fights, We catch enough shit as it is and we are not going to let shit like that be our image. That’s a step or two below being the “have sex with your sister state!”

Mitch will not run again. If he does, we’ll have a discussion ii which retirement will look really attractive. The “play fight” shit doesn’t cut it in counties that play for keeps. He may have a sonorous voice, but he’s been less effective against Obama as Obama has been against ISIS.

Both think they’re playing a long game. Both have been disasters. It’s easy to imagine that present actions will pay off in the future, but that future never comes to people who kick the can down the road because kicking the can means they get another free meal.

      1. “Hey Alan! Good to see we are both still on this planet.”

Both of you are failing in your duty to provide free humor to the masses.

  2. I’m not a big fan of “the stupid party”, but in this case it made sense to confirm Lynch. Now she’s a fully empowered member of the Obama administration, not some flunky they can pass the buck for or denounce as an incompetant whom the Republicans put into office by omission. Subsequently, her politically obnoxious pronouncements are fully attributable to the administration and not some place holding underling.

    1. @ Fenster314

I respectfully disagree. While I do see your point that there might be a political angle to this, IMHO the fact of the matter is that it’s the sworn duty of a US senator, regardless of party, to refuse to confirm an unsuitable nominee. Thus, every senator, regardless of party, who voted for Lynch deserves condemnation.

As for the list of Republicans who voted for Lynch, a Republican, I feel more vitriol to the Republicans who voted for Lynch, and I feel they deserve to be primaried. I’ll note that one of them is AZ Senator Jeff Flake, who is certainly well named. He’s also a gangster (Gang of 8).
