You could have stopped your sentence after “ignorant.” It would still have been accurate.
The Koch’s are the chicken being killed to scare the billionaire donor monkeys.
The difference is not so much a disconnect in diagnosing ills as it is in treating them. So-called Progressives want to read entrails, check the patterns of the stars, and dance and shake rattles. Rational folk want to identify, target, and interrupt the progression of the disease.

Don’t know about the house in Vermont (I’m sure there are SOME pro-freedom people live there); but the Koch brothers voting for Crazy Socialist Grandpa seems more likely to occur on that alternate, Bizarro planet where statist economics actually bring prosperty; the Law of Supply and Demand has been repealed; and “fascism” consists of REDUCING the power of the State.
