  1. There’s been research linking Alzheimer’s to the childhood neural erase function getting retriggered. The neurons are getting marked for removal.

    There are many ready analogies, such as the people charged with removing worn library books or old vegetables in the produce section. If their criteria is off they could clean the place out.

    But I wonder if a line of research could link it to the opposite problems, people with eidetic memory or who can’t forget properly? There should perhaps be other pruning failure disorders with strange manifestations.
