Broken Window Fallacy: As far as I’m concerned, SLS and Orion are doing their jobs of providing work.
I saw during the shutdown that “Rogue NASA”, Head of the Resistance!!! suggested Trumps wall was dumb, and therefore Trump was wasting NASA’s time to do “Rocket Science”. While NASA resists; rocket science has been advanced by the private sector. Those advancements are by employees of billionaires providing work. NASA is now just a theater for fans of Bill Nye and Ancient Aliens. NASA needs to be broken up and whatever is left of value repurposed to those who will do a better job.
BTW, the primary mirror on the JWST is now 3 years old. It will be 5 before it ever attempts a launch. The cost overruns for this project alone would have paid from Trump’s wall request, which also would provide jobs, shovel ready jobs.
