  1. “And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?. . . The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If. . . if. . . We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more — we had no awareness of the real situation. . . We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

    ~ Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

As I have said elsewhere, given the historic examples that we Americans have to learn from, if we allow the government to disarm us, we will “purely and simply deserve everything that happens afterward.”

    1. The thing about history, anyone can learn from it. Democrats play the long game and chip away at things incrementally. Every gun law is made to appear reasonable but it is just incrementalism. Long before they round up large groups of people, they target them in smaller numbers.

Controlling the masses isn’t that hard if they can separate out the trouble makers.

What we are seeing now, is the establishment of an underclass that is cut off from public service, education, the internet, and financial services. They wont be rounded up in any great numbers because persecuting them and maintaining their existence as the “other” gives Democrats a reason to exist and a moral justification for their policies.

China is forcing a social credit rating on their society that determines if people can have a bank account or use transportation. Democrat controlled, but not owned, corporations are doing the same thing and doing it slowly bit by bit so that people won’t notice until its too late.
