I can’t believe these campus sexual witch hunts aren’t producing a large number of GOP converts amongst the male student body.
I’ve been watching a lot of leftist turned not quite so leftist YouTube over the last several years. Tim Pool is a great example but there are many. They don’t like the hard turn toward Marxism and they realize how corrupt the left is in general and with their culture wars. But they still believe all of the stereotypes for other people that they had as Democrats or leftists. They still don’t realize how the “moderate” positions they held were really just incremental movements toward Marxism or think of them outside of the context of the ideology they are moving away from.
Why aren’t there large conversions? Because identity politics is incredibly powerful and lives on even when Democrats reject their party.
Tim Pool, though, is still a Democrat and isn’t interested in conservatism. (I forget the exact quote but a video from just a couple days ago he said something roughly to that effect.)
