  1. I think it was Monty Python that offered a 3 sided LP soundtrack disk.
Yes, you read that right, one disk, 3 sides. Groovy no?

I’m not sure if Firesign Theater ever did that with their LPs.

    1. I still own that LP, called “Matching Tie and Handkerchief”! Absolutely hilarious, and I bought it not realizing the 3-sided nature of the LP and was quite confused when I discovered that one side started playing different content than the first time I listened.

It is available now on Amazon in just about every format you would want. With regards to the LP version, they engineered two grooves that spiraled to the center side by side, and the phonograph needle would enter one groove or the other depending on which half of the record’s circumference it was placed

It has classics such as Novel Writing and the Cheese Emporium

      1. I got pretty good at getting the needle into one groove or the other on my copy. It was always a hoot to play one tract for someone, then say “Let’s hear that again” and, without turning the record over, playing an entirely different track!

I, too, didn’t know about that feature when I bought the album.
