Oh well, another fad has come and gone. I’m not sure what’s more bizarre about these things: the organic evolution of them (one could predict that the 1619 Project would be about reinventing the past, but not how they were going to do it or the weird tangents), or the continuing need by the true believers to buy into these fads when they crop up (even to adopting them uncritically into educational programs).
