My beef with them, esp. CDC, is this is not our first rodeo with a SARS like virus. Where have they been since 2003 and the first SARS outbreak? Check it out before you have to find this page via The Wayback Machine;

Obesity, “hunger”, second-hand smoke, gun violence, trans-sexualism, Global Warming(TM)…
Pretty much anything but actual biological diseases.
The solution is to close up all those projects, and force anyone in them to permanently “shelter at home” without pay.
When this started my thought was “The CDC doesn’t do anything except prohibit anyone else from doing anything, so as to defend their bureaucratic turf.”
A few decades ago their image was like Special Forces or The Ghost Busters, and when the CDC went in you knew the world’s top go-to professionals were on the scene. Now it feels more like calling in the cast of Seinfeld.
