It Begins

Germany just sent a £130B bill for ‘coronavirus damages’ – sparks fury in Beijing.

[Monday-morning update]

I don’t know if that original story is valid, but apparently Israel and U.S. law firms are suing the CCP for trillions. Even if they have no mechanism to force payment, this will certainly diminish China in the eyes of the world, and it could provide a legitimate excuse for defaulting on the money we owe them.

  1. And Trump has the balls to hit up China hard for coronavirus reparations; all Chinese owned assets in the USA are fair game. Like what happens when foreign countries borrow money and renege on payments.

  2. Good time to buy stock in Pop Secret, Orville Redenbacher, and anyone else who sells popcorn. China wanted to get rich, now we will see if they hired good lawyers or not.

  3. Note: the article is kind of poorly-written (unless they updated it since I read it last night.) A newspaper sent this bill, not the actual government.

  4. The method of punishment, not payment would be to not honor any of the T-bills China owns, until they live up to lawful obligations.

That would have the added benefit of seperating STUPID business that let china collect 75% of earnings.
