  1. What gets me is how much of a particular political party seems to operate as a pyramid of slime, as if rank and seniority were based on how much under-the-table money a politician can rake in and still get away with it. Perhaps that measure has somehow become a proxy, conscious or unconscious, for how well-connected and how politically powerful a person is. That’s probably not a stretch, either, because that’s how people tend to rank crime syndicates, narco Colombian drug lords, and mafia figures.

  2. I’ve been listening to Biden speeches lately. Is it me or is there a leading voice coming over his hearing aid that’s slightly leading his speech?

    1. It’s doubtful they’re feeding him lines because I just can’t see some seasoned professional hiding in the wings, reading from a script and spouting gibberish. ^_^

What you might be hearing is pick-up from multiple audio sources, with one background source very out-of-sync with the other.

    2. It wouldn’t work. You might want to try repeating word-for-word what somebody else is saying to you, while they’re still saying it. Now try it with dementia.

      1. There are gadgets to stop people talking that just play their voice back to them with a delay, causing them to literally stutter to a halt. A bit like the inverse of “The King’s Speech” movie.

    3. Well guess I should have included the obligatory:-)
Have noticed that he isn’t taking off the cuff questions from the press these days. Not that the press seems to care.

  3. Seen recently on the Internets (with some small embellishments 🙂

According to a poll among Democrats: 4 in 3 Democrats are idiots
According to a poll among Republicans: 5 in 3 Democrats vote.
