  1. That’s good, because I think that Elon is doing much more good with his money than Gates is.

How so? Strictly talking in the present tense most of Elon’s Money tied into making expensive virtue signaling cars that sell to yuppies. Then the other half goes into building a rocket to send a Japanase art collector and lady friend along with several “artist” to orbit the moon.
With other pieces of his fortune tied to digging tunnels to no where. Or putting computer chips into peoples brain. I don’t believe he intending to give away Starlink internet for free at a large scale? I believe it just more a way to use his excess lifting capability and produce another revenue stream and more ultimately giving potential habitable space/tourist stations internet.

Yes putting us as a 2 planet civilization will be huge benefits but we still multiple decades away from that and Musk time is still proving to be multiple factors away from reality.

Gates attempting to safely eliminate Malaria would be huge too and closer to reality. Along with developing 10% of the population that left behind, so it no longer struggle to eat safe food, drink clean water and not be exposed to disease that those who hit the genetic lottery in those areas are not snuffed out early or struggle to fight those instead of focusing on other things to contribute and allowed to.

    1. What commies fail to recognize about the American system is that it both encourages and depends on individuals doing what they think are important. Because of this, we don’t have to choose between our billionaires working on expanding into space or trying to solve terrestrial problems, we get both. Even when you look at Musk, his companies are a mix of the two and both he and Bezos believe that the developments made in the contest to live off Earth will benefit all of humanity.

We also get people who want to work on making better wheelchairs, pill bottles, paints, board games and bread. These innovations feed off each other and can’t be predicted or controlled, which is why commies fear our system so much and why the success China enjoys comes from people going against their system.

To be fair, there is always a contest between people motivated by control and corruption and those who want to be left alone and engage in good faith interactions with other people. This same contest happens in the USA and even with our billionaires who have benefited from a system they don’t fully comprehend. For now, our system has not been fully corrupted by those who seek to control everyone and so we still have the freedom to do what we think is important.

An important distinction between these two groups is that while some people might disagree with Gates about when he chooses to spend money on, they will let him spend the money while people who disagree with Musk and Bezos (often people with similar political views as them) about their space activities will actively try and stop them from engaging in them.

And you call yourself “Engineer”? Is there anything mentioned here which isn’t pretty damned impressive?

      1. Actually he might be an engineer. His grammar resembles Fez from “That 70’s Show.”

“I don’t believe he intending to give away Starlink internet for free at a large scale? I believe it just more a way to use his excess…”

Those aren’t typos, they’re bad English. If not an engineer, maybe he’s not a native speaker.

        1. He probably is ESL but kudos to him for learning a new language. It is nice we have opportunities to communicate with people from different backgrounds. It is just too bad that his views are a little far to the loony left and his comments are often a literal troll post rather than someone expressing their actual views looking for a good faith debate on an issue.
