  1. California’s problem will be soon America’s problem.

    Making Energy Expensive Again

Mr. Trump’s secret source to what was historically unprecedented prosperity until The Virus was Drill Baby Drill. Energy resources are the engine of the modern economy. Yes, we can become more energy efficient and get ever increasing units of economic output per energy input, but energy input makes the whole thing go.

    The new slogan should be

    Hydrocarbon Energy Racial Equity

HERE — it has a nice sound to it

Low cost hydrocarbon energy did more to close the wealth gap than any other factor.

Long term, the transition needs to be to some form of nuclear energy. The starship Enterprise wasn’t powered by coal, and it wasn’t sent around the galaxy by charging electrical chemical batteries from solar or wind power.

The safe and economic exploitation of nuclear energy will require prosperity to be spread sufficiently widely to resolve the international conflicts and topple the tyrannies making nuclear energy a lurking threat to security — think Iran and a whole lot of other political arrangements based on resentment and grievance. Until then, hydrocarbon fuels will be the tool to pulling the world’s people out the misery in which those conflicts and tyrannies thrive.

Mr. Biden appears single minded on pursuing energy poverty and in turn increasing misery, here and throughout the world. I don’t get the impression that the lefties, progressives or whoever “got” to him. Something from his earlier remarks in recent history tell me he is committed to a German-style Energy Transformation, and writing as someone of ethnic German heritage whose very existence here on US soil is a consequence, this is not the only stupid thing Germans have done in roughly the last 100 years.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. What is wrong with people? “Trump is mean”, “Trump is divisive”, “Trump is vulgar”, and this is from self-styled Conservatives and yes, Libertarians. Since when is impoverishment a great idea?

It is an effective attack because conservatives, for the most part, are good people and want to be thought of as good people. That is why Democrats call them racists, Nazi, and white supremacists.

What people fail to recognize, is that the people using the civility gambit are shitbags and should be called out on it.
