  1. There is that Colorado governor telling people not to eat red meat.

What is the world coming to? Will the Governor of Wisconsin tell people to stop eating cheese?

That the Packers deserved to have lost to Tampa Bay/

  2. Nutritional studies performed on the eating habits of people in the UK are completely suspect if the meals were prepared in the UK. Compared to self-same meals prepped in France or Italy? I mean c’mon man!

  3. “plenty of whole grains, fruit and vegetables and limited amounts of foods high in saturated fat, salt and sugar”

The only correct bit is the sugar recommendation. I’d go for none.
We ran that “healthy eating” experiment. Both gained weight, felt bad a lot of the time, slumps after lunch etc. In late August 2014, after a lot of reading prompted by Karl Denninger’s blog, we ran the “eat red meat, dairy, vegetables, no sugar, pasta, potatoes etc and lost at least 10% of body mass without trying. Feel heaps better, more energy etc.

    1. Depends on your genetics -and- the genetics of the bacteria in your gut. Because of a deep wound I had to take a heavy antibiotic regime and my digestion was never the same. The Probiotics cultures just didn’t work “right”…

Just following their sacred dietary pyramid is worse than useless. Find your own diet.

  4. In any case, study done in the UK is suspect. Poms eat shit.
I wonder how much PUFAs in their diet?

  5. I’ve often joked that the British went forth and conquered a world empire because piling into a sailing ship was preferable to staying and eating English cooking.

    1. One can have the same take upon finding out that an article is from the (Mid-)Atlantic.

Every word someone write at that rag is in service of The Narrative, starting with “and” along with “the.”

  6. I’ve been eating undercooked red meat for nearly 70 years (since I was weaned, anyway). Think I’ll have a steak tonight, baked potato, sourcream and butter…
