  1. Biden has unseated Obama as worst president in my lifetime. I’m not really qualified to judge, but he may have unseated all those 19th century wankers to become worst president ever. Polk? Fillmore? Pierce? Maybe so.

      1. I would argue Buchanan is not the worst by several places, despite the opening salvos of the Civil War starting on his watch. He did keep his word about only running for one term, if nothing else.

          1. It’s too bad he couldn’t have beaten Billy Harrison, who only served 31 days. On the other hand, maybe Harris’ name is an omen, shorter by 3 letters. Maybe she’ll be president for 28 days? A single period, perhaps…

  2. Jimmy Carter can rest now. Knowing his legacy has cemented around his leadership as a former Naval nuclear engineer, in managing the Three Mile Island crisis. And Billy Beer….

  3. The last helicopter I want to see departing is the one taking Biden back to Delaware post-impeachment conviction or resignation.

Joe is slow-walking himself to becoming the first President in history to be convicted in the Senate. If Americans trapped in Kabul start getting beheaded it won’t be a slow walk…

    1. Which is why Joe Biden is among the people the Taliban have as hostages. The administration’s choice (as I have mentioned elsewhere) is between humiliation and bloodshed. The Taliban just might give them both.

  4. Saw an interview with a Brit Colonel the other day who had been in charge of all Brit troops in Afghanistan who reckons Biden should not be impeached but as Commander in Chief be Court Martialed.
    Is this possible?

      1. After conviction and removal from office, he can be brought up on charges of negligent homicide in civilian criminal US Court. AG Garland would have to see to it the DOJ presses charges in the DC circuit. Highly unlikely but that is a path that works.

        1. American’s being beheaded on Joe’s watch. I’d have no problem with him doing the perp-walk in an orange jumpsuit pending his trial.

          1. But the real folks that should be doing the perp-walk are those in the DNC that pushed his campaign and got him through the convention.

          2. Which brings up the interesting opportunity for another first.

The Secret Service gets to offer the former president protection while he’s in his jail cell awaiting trial. Assuming the presiding judge denies bail. That might mean they also get to occupy the cells surrounding the Presidential suite. Interesting duty. New call-sign? ‘Jail-bird’ comes to mind.

        2. There’s another path as well. He can be brought up on State negligent homicide charges in US States where the Taliban murdered their residents and if not Delaware pressing charges, extradited to any State that is. That is why post-impeachment conviction or resignation in this case will go hand-in-hand with a Presidential Pardon by Harris.

  5. The worst of it is..if that the dems somehow manage to break the filibuster they could still remain in power after 2022. Pass the “For the People Act” would insure would insure they win the popular vote as well as keep the House via the “independent board” post census congressional redistricting. Keep the Senate by creating new states out of Puerto Rico and DC; stack the courts to make sure none of the before is effectively challenged. I fear that even if everything goes the Republicans way they recapture the House & Senate in ’22 and then the WH is ’24 the danger is not really passed, merely postponed. Sooner or later the dems would get back in power and keep pushing that same agenda until they get the Congress/president they want and then they will pass it. And we would be looking at decades of one-party rule our Democratic Republic probably irreparably damaged.

    1. The “For The People Act” is unconstitutional. If it passes, a functional Supreme Court would rule it as so. Note: “functional”.

      1. “The “For The People Act” is unconstitutional. If it passes, a functional Supreme Court would rule it as so. Note: “functional”.”

Yes. But as I am sure you know the dems plan is to stack the federal court especially SCOTUS. Something like total of 13 justices the four new SCOTUS justices being “trusted” ideologues who will vote the right way. And if there were over the course of time a few deviants who don’t vote right no problem; merely add more justices. The sky’s the limit after that; if two new states aren’t enough I have heard of a plan to divide California into three states total. The new lines of said states being probably drawn by computer to insure all three remain democratic senators

    2. Assuming no further Dem shenanigans, the one comfort to know is that Blue States are losing population to Red States because they are becoming more and more unlivable. Swinging congressional districts to the Red. The real question is whether or not those immigrants have learned their lessons well enough to change their voting habits. In my first-hand experience the scary answer to that question is: No. But it does tend to confirm the human nature hypothesis[1].

      [1] Sh*t rises.

      1. “Assuming no further Dem shenanigans, the one comfort to know is that Blue States are losing population to Red States because they are becoming more and more unlivable. Swinging congressional districts to the Red.”

The “Independent Boards” described in the For the People Act will correct that problem. They would make sure the new congressional lines were drawn “fairly”, “appropriately” to reflect the “main stream demographics” of the woke culture.

        1. Furthermore once the dem leadership realizes the magnitude of the election losses likely in ’22 they will go into survival mode. It’s not just losing power it is the inevitable hearings etc. that will occur once the republicans have the gavel again. Impeachment hearings in the House run by maybe Jim Jordan; “dereliction of duty”, “gross incompetence”, “failure to discharge his duties as president” etc. With our new impeachment precedent post Trump of “beyond the pale”, any action deemed such by Congress is now an impeachable offense. There could even be criminal prosecutions of prominent democrats on the charge of perpetuating a fraud on the American People; to wit deliberately concealing their obvious knowledge of Biden’s mental decline. The dems will be desperate to hold onto power if for no other reason to escape disgrace potentially even criminal conviction/jail time.

      2. I lived in Colorado for 27 years. When I first arrived in 1985, I sometimes saw bumper stickers that read, “Don’t Californicate Colorado”. By the time I left in 2012, the Californication was complete. Having a lot of people move into your state can be a good thing, but it can also be like a lot of locusts.

  6. I wouldn’t be too hard on Biden. There are two ways a ruler cements a place in history that resonates through the ages. Either be a Ramses, Alexander, Caesar, Genghis Kahn, Tamerlane, Richard the Lionhearted, Peter the Great, Churchill, or Reagan, or incompetently screw up or betray a nation on such an epic scale as to be remembered like Nero, Caligula, Ivan the Terrible, Neville Chamberlain, Vidkun Quisling, or Marshall Pétain.

Biden will resonate like the latter. His name will probably become a verb. It’s quite an achievement.

  7. My opinion is that Biden is a shell of a president…heck a shell of a man – and he’s not all there. The Biden puppeteers are running the show. I almost don’t blame Biden – I blame the puppeteers.

And the sick joke is that Biden will take the blame and the puppeteers will get off scott free….free to wreak their havoc at some future date.

    1. It shouldn’t be hard to get Democrats to blame the puppeteers for destroying Biden and Kamala, though.

      1. Disagree,

Especially since the Puppeteers are Democrats. Democrats stick together – they are never wrong. They HAD to remove Biden and the excuse will be:

“…all the bad stuff that’s been happening for the last 7 months was Biden’s fault….”

And the Lefty voters will not see any problem with what transpired because no more mean tweets.

        1. They can remove Biden for all sorts of reasons, and you can bet they will pick something that won’t reflect poorly on Democrat policy. This is what they did with Cuomo. Cuomo is out, but not because he took money from hospital systems and then forced nursing homes to take COVID patients. Even today, Democrats are suggesting using medicare payments to force nursing homes across the country to take COVID patients. So what to do? Take Cuomo out on sexual harassment charges to head off a national investigation into his actions related to COVID.

For Biden, they could do the same, or get to him via his son. Already for Kamala, they are trial ballooning “Havana Syndrome”.

          1. For Biden, they could do the same, or get to him via his son. Already for Kamala, they are trial ballooning “Havana Syndrome”.

            How about “Dunning-Kruger Syndrome”?

          2. And the new corrupt governor of NY has adjusted the covid deaths in NY upwards by 12,000.

            Likely a first step, too

    1. There are remarkable similarities between Biden and Elphinstone. The bad news is that Biden isn’t just an incompetent general in a far away meaningless country but the POTUS. God help us.

  8. “President Biden is struggling to provide a message of strength and confidence amid international scorn and uncertainty over his handling of the U.S. military drawdown in Afghanistan — showing up late to speeches, refusing to answer reporters’ questions, and largely avoiding the White House press corps ever since Taliban insurgents took over the country in a matter of days.

Biden’s remarks Tuesday from the White House were delayed more than four hours after being rescheduled twice, and the U.S. evacuation effort in Afghanistan was the last topic he addressed after touting his Build Back Better agenda. ”

“The most embarrassing part though, was that he refused to take questions, and he turned his back and walked away — an image that has come to define him and his presidency,” McCarthy said. “He turned his back on our own citizens stranded in Afghanistan, he’s turned our back on our allies and partners, he’s turned his back on his duties as commander in chief.”

The way things are going he will be lucky to last until the end of this year. When the Taliban inevitably start mass executions of people including Americans what’s the main stream media going to do not cover it?

    1. When the Taliban inevitably start mass executions of people including Americans what’s the main stream media going to do not cover it?
No. They’ll simply explain to the imbecile deplorable members of their audience that these are not mass executions. That’s misinformation. There has been an recent outbreak of firearms accidents and mishaps with pruning tools as reported by the Taliban Health Ministry that have affected a few Americans. An internal investigation is under way, you dolt.

  9. dotard
    [ doh-terd ]

    noun
a person exhibiting a decline in mental faculties, especially as a result of aging.

    1. Right. Which stems from the same root as ‘dotage’, which many mistakenly think means simply “old age”. But it actually means “A deterioration of mental faculties associated with aging.”

  10. I can only note that the White House cut Biden’s mike when he was asked a question about Afghanistan.

This is interesting on many levels, the most interesting aspect being that they were ready and able to do it. That means they set up the ability in advance. This rather clearly means that the White House staff does not trust Biden to be able to answer simple questions, and has assumed the power to gag the commander in chief.

  11. “a person exhibiting a decline in mental faculties, especially as a result of aging.”
Is there and equivalent noun for someone showing anlagous physical decline?

“Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton are spotted taking a walk along the beach near their home in The Hamptons. The couple just days ago celebrated Bill’s 75th birthday, beginning down the beach, Bill dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, Hillary in sweats and a long-sleeve t-shirt and wide-brimmed hat, both wearing sneakers.”

By the grace of God (& Donald Trump) we were spared the spectacle of President Shamoo; she would have been in her 2nd term now and her physical decline as well as her own boatload of mental health issues would not doubt have surfaced by now:

    Where Was Hillary?

    https://spectator.org/where-was-hillary/

    1. “Sources have told The American Spectator that on Tuesday night, after Hillary realized she had lost, she went into a rage. Secret Service officers told at least one source that she began yelling, screaming obscenities, and pounding furniture. She picked up objects and threw them at attendants and staff. She was in an uncontrollable rage. Her aides could not allow her to come out in public. It would take her hours to calm down. As has been reported for years, her violent temper got the best of her. Talk about having a temperament ill-suited for having access to the atomic bomb.”

  12. Our next door neighbor is a civil servant who has been deployed to Afghanistan for about half the time we’ve known her. She would not have survived had she been deployed, but thank God she’s home. Same for the husband of one of our nieces, who had been working private security in Afghanistan until just a couple of months ago. I can imagine the torment others who have loved ones there…or maybe I can’t imagine it. But the White House doesn’t give a shit about it.

  13. Right. Which stems from the same root as ‘dotage’, which many mistakenly think means simply “old age”. But it actually means “A deterioration of mental faculties associated with aging.”

    1. Biden didn’t give a flying f*** about people at any age. His whole history is semi-retarded political calculations.

  14. The Biden Puppeteers are now low-balling the number of Americans originally stuck in Afghanistan – something like 6000.

And they are saying there are only 1500 or so left to get out.

And Psaki is careful to use the phrase “…those that WANT to get out…”

I suspect this gaslighting battlefield prep – anyone who they were unable to extract will be labeled as those who did not want to get out.

And they told Americans to leave the airport gates and go home and await further instructions.

Families of those stuck there need to get vocal and make the Puppeteers face the truth if they want any chance of getting their loved ones out.

If the Puppeteers are lying, this will come out when the Taliban parade Americans they’ve captured (Puppeteer gaslighting response – those are not Americans).

If families of those stuck and left behind get vocal and show proof that their loved ones did, indeed, want to get out, the administration will blame the victim.

    1. To wit:

Ross Wilson, acting U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, claimed Wednesday that the State Department issued repeated warnings for Americans to leave Afghanistan but they “chose not to.”

His comments came during an interview with CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, who asked about criticism towards the Biden administration that evacuation efforts didn’t begin much sooner.

“We put out repeated warnings every three weeks to Americans, going back to March or April, each one in stronger terms—’leave now, leave immediately,’” he said.

          1. Let me make sure I understand the administration’s reasoning here;

We’re trying to evacuate all the Afghans who worked for us, because the Taliban will kill them. So, we give the Taliban a list of their names, addresses, etc, so that the people we think will massacre them can help get them to the airport.

            Have I got that right?

BTW, when I read your Aug 19th comment about the administration giving names and addresses to the Taliban, I thought you were joking. Whether you were or not – you nailed it.

          2. I thought you were joking. Whether you were or not – you nailed it.

I think from now on I’ll JSTFU.

          3. David, I should have said satire, not joking. But, even I, as fierce a critic of this administration as I am, didn’t seriously think the Biden admin would hand the freaking Taliban a list of US citizens and Afghan allies.

Clearly, I was very, very wrong.

You, on the other hand, were very, very right.

          4. CJ it scares the hell out of me that the next thing I say in jest might become administration policy.

For the rest of us the choices are bleak. Who should one support? The Party of Stupid or The Party of Treacherous?

        1. David, I always thought it was the Obama administration that surpassed the possibility to satire it – but Biden seems to have surpassed that.

          Still, I’ll give it a whirl; Coming headlines;
Biden administration recognizes and backs Taliban, so the Taliban will hunt down terrorists for us. (and, apparently, hide from mirrors while doing so).

Biden Administration announces that it will use its Afghanistan withdrawal “success” as a model for the coming US withdrawals from Iraq and Syria.

Israeli PM comes to Washington, and tries to get on good terms with Biden by talking about Amtrak trains and ice cream.

      1. Uh, weren’t we originally supposed to be out May1? They sent out messages just two months prior to leave and only sent about one message per month?

If you speak to someone about something once a month, it doesn’t convey a sense of urgency.

  15. Biden doesn’t deny report of U.S. handing over names of Americans to Taliban: ‘There may have been’
“President Biden did not deny a report circulating Thursday that officials in his administration had provided names of Americans in Afghanistan to the Taliban in order to help usher them safely to the airport.

“There have been occasions where our military has contacted their military counterparts in the Taliban and said this bus is coming through…made up of the following group…let it through,” the president said. “Yes, there have been occasions like that.”

Does anybody here still think these people (the Biden administration) are evil mastermind genius’s? Or are we finally accepting that they are incompetent fu%ku$’s who could find a way to burn water making tea? And then decide it was the tea’s fault; or that the water was somehow sabotaged by subversive conservative Trump supporters…

    1. “Does anybody here still think these people (the Biden administration) are evil mastermind genius’s? Or are we finally accepting that they are incompetent fu%ku$’s ”

Both. They have their schemes but reality has a way of red pilling them too frequently because they don’t have a reality based ideology.

      1. “They have their schemes but reality has a way of red pilling them too frequently because they don’t have a reality based ideology.”

Having the right ideologies (woke, etc.) is part of “the skill set(s)/competencies necessary to get the positions”. It has nothing to do with being competent at achieving any sort of rational objective. Yes, they could be both evil and incompetent, but idiots tend to be enamored of sets of beliefs that are well idiotic; designed to appeal the feelings/gut rather than the intellect. They develop a strong emotional attachment to sets of beliefs that are designed to appeal to one’s raw emotions. And they can’t understand how when they apply these feelings derived ideas to real-world problems it doesn’t seem to work out again and again to their eternal puzzlement.

  16. “Or are we finally accepting that they are incompetent fu%ku$’s who could find a way to burn water making tea? ”

Maybe part of if not most of the problem is that the skill set(s)/competencies necessary to get the positions in the highest levels of government are different than the skill sets needed in order to be competent at the actual job? Someone like Susan Rice probably has impeccable academic credentials, knows the right people, looks good interviews well etc.; but that is different from being good at what the job is actually supposed to be.

    1. I think it’s an issue of no one making the decisions has any chance of being held responsible. They are all nameless, faceless entities that finally have the power to run things the way they SHOULD be run. They get to do it behind the scenes and if things go tango uniform, the senile old man gets the blame.

  17. Mother of a dead Marine says it best:

“And that feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die,” she said. “I woke up at 4 o’clock this morning to Marines at my door telling me my son was dead.”

McCollum then lamented having to listen to “diplomatic crap with Taliban terrorists” who “just blew up my son” and the Biden administration not saying anything, such as “oh my God, I’m so sorry for failing.”
