  1. I lived in Colorado during the Great Californication. People who flee blue states are sometimes conservatives seeking a better life, but sometimes other times they work to inflict the same failed policies in their new home. Those people are like locusts. In comes down to whether they see themselves as political refugees or ideological missionaries. I met a new neighbor who is a political refugee from Long Island, so there is hope. At the same time, the FBI is opening an office that will employee thousands. After the agency’s behavior over the past 10 years or so, that’s something of a mixed blessing.

  2. I guess that’s true, as long as the blue enclaves in red states don’t decamp for blue states. I think there has not been much activity in that direction (see California’s U-Haul deficit, and I doubt both that UT Austin will relocate to California and that UC Berkeley would find room for most of their faculty and staff if they applied).

But never forget that Democrats have won the popular vote many more times than not in the last two decades. If a full sort happened, I’m not sure the Electoral College would save us.

Pad the numbers in safe areas where no one is looking for fraud and then when people look at a battleground or someplace where it is close enough to look at irregularities, claim there were none because the national vote means an overwhelming number of people support someone, so fraud in one or two places doesn’t matter.
