    1. I wish J. Mitchell would also reflect on how hard it might have been to open a Jazz club in the deep south in the 1950s that didn’t require bribes and payoffs. Sauce for the goose….

    2. I wouldn’t call censorship a religion among the Liberals Progressives. “Wokeism” is the religion. Censorship is the sacrament.

  1. ” has been told that she can no longer work with the public school district, after she refused to sign an oath vowing that she “does not” and “will not” engage in a boycott of Israel or “otherwise tak[e] any action that is intended to inflict economic harm” on that foreign nation. ”

I was not aware of this response to the Democrat’s racist anti-Semitic BDS and I don’t like it. Stopping a school from participating in BDS is far different than stopping an individual.

That was the only example of censorship on the right but he did reference the 1980s, which people frequently do but I think censorship in the 80s has taken on a mythology where it was more powerful, pervasive, and one sided than it was in reality. The stereotypes Democrats use to attack people are very effective and warp their perspective of history.

Maybe it is because I have always been surrounded by Democrats but I do not remember a time they were ever not authoritarian.

    1. I believe the issue is with contractors working with the government. And it’s a bit slippery, because governments have put “no boycott ” clauses in contracts before stating the contractor can’t refuse to serve someone for other than commercial reasons if he wants a contract. Also, in other cases, liberal institutions such as colleges required contractors sign pro BDS agreements, so arguably both sides are trying to force contractors to do what they want.

  2. I just sent an email to Sirius asking that they cut back on Neil Young and Joni Mitchell on the Bridge
