  1. Yes, well, this is not the first time non-American Indian artifacts have been found in North America. The problem is the artifacts can be construed to show the American Indian was not the original inhabitant of the NA Continent. And, as things were in the stone age, the American Indians likely took the continent by force and removed the existing population (genocide).

The Army Corps of Engineers fought (and still fights) tooth and toenail to keep scientists from examining the artifacts.

    1. And the guys the American Indians wiped out likely wiped out the guys before them. And so on and so on. That’s 1800 generations ago.

    2. the likely first occupants of the Americas were the ancestors of the Tierra del Fuegan peoples…..which were genocided by other tribes, and then ‘peans

  2. This is not news to those paying attention. If this is news to you, change your sources of information.

  3. Be interesting to find out the Denisovans tried to get away from us by coming over here. Not to mention the genetic signature in east Asians of an as-yet unknown archaic species.

I wonder which tribe they menaced once they got here? The Wilsonites?*

*Sorry, I’ll be here only until the week’s up. Try the veal.

  4. Similar to the situation with Australia’s aborigines who have allegedly been here for 60,000 years. There’s evidence that the current mob are third. The second mob ate the first and the current lot ate the second.
Also New Zealand where the Moriori were eaten by the later Maori.

    1. “There’s evidence that the current mob are third. The second mob ate the first and the current lot ate the second.”

When you say “eaten” do you mean that figuratively or literally?

  5. “At present, the oldest human aDNA in the Americas is from the Anzick child burial site that includes diagnostic Clovis artifacts and dates to 12,905 – 12,695 cal BP (Becerra-Valdivia et al., 2018). aDNA places this individual on the stem of the Native American clade (Rasmussen et al., 2014); it preserves no Population Y ancestry. The absence of a Population Y signal in North America may be an artifact of the lack of human bones and aDNA older than ∼13,000 cal BP, and under-sampling of living populations. Until much older human aDNA is recovered, uncertainty will attend the association of Population Y with any of the older archeological sites.”

So until someone recovers ~37K old human DNA we won’t know who these earlier populations were and where they came from.
