    1. Not hard for some of us to take them seriously. Whether this song proves helpful in that regard, I don’t know, but my initial inclination is to think not.

  1. This sort of thing is actually important if Space Force is to be entrenched as an institution. It may seem silly now, but in a hundred years it’s “from the shores of Tripoli”.

    1. “From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.”

With no space battles yet fought and named, it’ll be awhile before the Space Force can match the Marines for historical references in its official song.

  2. This came from the USAF press office. Hm. No USSF press office yet I guess. Well it’s short and to the point. Kudos for that. But for poetic lyricism, it has a long, long way to go to improve on this.

  3. Horrid, horrid song.

Quite laughable when I think of people in BDU’s sitting in an air conditioned office pushing buttons.

“brave and true”? Be a disaster if the donuts don’t arrive on time.

The USSF mission is good. But this song is horrible.

The Marine Corps Hymn speaks of “keeping honor clean”…..

Even Anchor’s Aweigh speaks to that:

“On seven seas we learn, Navy’s stern call:
Faith, courage, service true, With honor over, honor over all.”

Not much like that in the Air Force Song, which always sounded like the 30’s and 40’s to me. Which I think, is when it was written. The original lyrics are better than the 2020 lyrics. But it’s a decent enough song.

    But this……the USSF song….just awful.
