I’m glad to see progress on this front (it could be a huge boon for space settlement), but I’m not sure that having the imprimatur of the FDA adds much to it.

I regard FDA’s imprimatur ss a singularly odius negative.
You can raise chickens just about anywhere, so I don’t know why you’d want the mess of having them wander around a lab, pooping on expensive equipment.
If I had free range chickens, I’d have to call my place the Hawk Food Ranch, because that’s who would eat them. The sky here is full of hawks and vultures, the latter picking crushed hawks off the roadway.
