  1. At first, I went with fires happen. Can’t blame government for everything but then we learned about commies refusing to let firefighters have water, utilities that spent money on political projects instead of fire mitigation, and Jack wagon cops blocking off the route of escape. But wait there’s more…

    1. Indeed, the initial narrative reports were about people claiming they “had no warning” despite stories of people running and yelling “get out why you still can”. Then in the discussion of the fire spreading over a large area, the talk was about invasive plant species getting out of hand.

Now we know the fire began near the center of town from powerlines downed by high winds. While officials ordered evacuations for another fire near the center of Maui, the same officials ordered the roads in and out Lahaina closed, supposedly so power crews could fix the power lines. I understand somewhat, blocking traffic in to town, but out? Why? What would that ever do?

As for refusing water, I don’t know how a person in authority comes to the conclusion that they might have to think about releasing water to the Fire Department. If a public company official did this, they would be facing a criminal investigation. But what a-hole is still walking free that ordered the roads close? What officer that can see smoke rising stood their post and demanded fleeing citizens to turn around and go back? We know those involved in George Floyd, why not this clown near Lahaina?

The events that unfolded during the fire deserve accountability. People need to face a portion of the ruin for their, at best, negligent behavior that did ruin many many others. The events in the aftermath are also abysmal. Hopefully this will help more people realize the folly of voting Democrat and expecting the government to be there for you when the government is really needed.

  2. Case in point: 97% Consensus About (Catastrophic) Global Warming…
Historically: luminiferous aether, miasma, heavenly crystal spheres, et cetera.

  3. What’s the case for “woke incompetents” doing this? I see plenty of evidence for incompetence and criminal negligence, but not the “woke” part.

    1. The only woke part is the notion that water should be distributed based on inequity. It appears having a nursing home on fire with elderly patients unable to flee has to be weighed against the need of indigenous people that need water too.
