That’s on top of the $530,000 Mann was ordered to pay to National Review in January.https://t.co/BxvzbI7fz3
[Friday-morning update]
The worm has turned.
Sweet!
He FA’d, now he has achieved FO.
Congrats! Now another 15 years of litigation before he decides he can’t pay it?
I don’t think he’d ever pay it. Ref: Canadian Dr. Tim Ball’s widow. Whoever is backing him will.
Rand, should we be looking forward to ‘discovery’?
No, trial’s over. This is just aftershocks.
It’s a pity they can’t extradite him and put him in jail over that travesty.
Just below the threshold his sugar daddies are likely to settle for rather than litigate further.
Congratulations Rand. Let’s hope it’s finally over….
Has anyone else noticed that’s just over ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
Has anyone else noticed that’s just over ONE MILLION DOLLARS!
*Delete above.
I was relieved actually. Because now that someone is paying a million dollars again, this firmly validates Mann’s concerns. /sarc
So, net result is Mann gets paid 11000 bucks and has to pay over a million.
With that kind of money, I’m betting you upgrade your motherboard again. ^_^
Assuming he pays anything.
LOL! I hope he buys something both new and mainstream.
Apropos of that–this won’t be useful to Rand since it’s not a laptop, but if you don’t need that portability, the newish nuc-sized mini PCs that are all over Amazon can be great, and the two I have–one Intel, the other AMD–work 100% for me with Linux.
After you suggested those last time, I put a bunch on an Amazon list. They go on sale frequently. There are a lot of weird brands but a lot of them have a good bank of reviews.
Suddenly I remembered that you owe me something…. 😉
So pleased to see justice finally has arrived. Given Mark Steyn’s poor health, I am also grateful he was able to enjoy this news.
Congrats Rand. I thought it was a given that one could publicly disagree with “science” like a ridiculous hockey stick graph. It shouldn’t have taken 15 years in the courts.
Excellent news. While not over yet, the stress must be a lot easy to deal with now.
