  1. The thing about Fordow is that if it was enriching uranium via centrifuges, it would have been doing so by passing the material through them as UF6 gas. AFAIK there was no metallurgy capability at Fordow. That was I believe was in Isfahan. Which was also destroyed. You’d have to have seen trucks carting the pressurized HF6 gas from Fordow to locations unknown, requiring specialized tanks strapped into trucks. Unaware of any such transports. Plus you still need to do the metal conversion step. Using what? The key to nuclear weapons that everyone fails to note is the massive industrial base needed. Not to mention the electrical power requirement. You know Hanford was located near the Columbia River and Oak Ridge not far from TVA transmission lines for a reason.

AFAIK it’s the IAEA making these restart claims, based on evidence unknown. Iran has made it clear they sure as hell aren’t going to be welcomed back to conduct any inspections.

    1. Grok informs me that at room temperature UF6 solidifies. It sublimes at 56.5C.

The containers are, as I suspected, highly specialized.
I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be wondering around what’s left of the bunkers of Fordow without protective gear…

Or on the surface either for that matter.

    2. The hype on X was over dump trucks lined up outside fordow prior to the attack but I assume the government had pictures where you could see what they were loading/unloading

      1. I had heard and it was reported (by Trump IIRC) that those trucks were hauling concrete to reinforce the ventilation shafts. GBU-57 #1 took care of that. The remaining 5 took care of the rest…

    3. I saw someone on another forum insisting that it would be trivial to unload and move those centrifuges overnight.

I guess maybe if you had a lot of people and machinery you were willing to write off, maybe it might be theoretically possible.

      1. Yeah. And if done in haste, you’ll have one set of dead folks walking that did the disassembly. Another set that did the delivery.

        Hint: Follow the electricity.

  2. It noticeable that Trump hit the ground running this time.
He’s not taking anything for granted. Esp. the “goodwill” of the Executive Branch employees.

  3. I would be very interested to know how Trump’s challenge of his impoundment authority is going. The challenge to the 1974 impoundment act could mind up in front of the Supreme Court. They might decide to narrow the focus of it if that happens Katie bar the door as far as what Trump would be able to do to control spending.
