The Beginning Of The End

It was always inevitable, given the intrinsic corruption, idiocy, incompetence and increasing dementia, but four years ago what would be seen to be the hammer blow against the Biden presidency occurred that begin its downward spiral, with the disastrous Afghanistan retreat, one of the greatest debacles if not indeed the greatest one, in the history of American foreign policy.

  1. For the Russians, that is true. On the Ukraine side, there is a glaring difference. Ukrainians fight. In Afghanistan, everything folded the moment the US left. Without US soldiers on the ground, the government evaporated instantly.

In Ukraine, “in the Ukraine” means sending military gear and some advisors. There’s no serious US military presence in Ukraine.

    1. Well my link heavy posts keep getting eaten, try something else.

Well US also stabbed the Afghans in the back with the side deal with the Taliban and the secret annexes . And the trained afghan soldiers didn’t trust the political leaders and the political leaders didn’t trust their American trained officer core.Plus the soldiers recruited have little difference in life no matter which side win other than they wouldn’t have to go home and see their daughters dancing to weird music and instead use them to trade for a goat like they could before the US came. So in the end it was Afghan soldiers that didn’t have to outrun the lion they just had to outrun the US and go back home.

You are unbelievable posting this garbage when the chief architect of this “greatest debacle” was literally rolling out the red carpet for a KGB thug, this weekend. You haven’t said a word about him selling out another ally. Hope you are still sleeping well Rand.
I am sure Putin is probably after getting a tour of a B2 and bringing home a piece of 1 as a souvenir.

    1. What university gave you an engineering degree? I want to discourage young family members from attending there.

        1. Well I know enough engineering to recognize the difference between AC and DC unlike some self proclaimed engineers around here. Also enough to know to troubleshoot the power supply first. Were you able to sell all those extra sprinkler controllers you got Rand?

      1. Ed just make sure it is not an university that took money from Andrew Carnegie then it should be in the clear.

  3. I used to think the ‘chopper-bourne “Escape from Saigon” in ’75 was among the lowest of our low points.

Not after the horrible “Hour of Scampering” from Kabul.

(PS This does not mean that I am a Trump supporter. All three major party candidates last year were bad, but Trump demonstrates each day he is the worst.)
