  1. OK Rand, a Brit version of Scrappleface?

I guess the only part of Brit political comedy I understand is Guardian == New York Times (i.e. mainstream bastion of liberal political correctness) and Telegraph == Weekly Standard (sorta the conservative counterpart to the extent that conservatives even have a counterpart). And Gordon Brown is the somewhat frumpy New Labor successor to the “cool” Tony Blair?

I once attempted to read Punch in my undergrad days, and a lot of humor was lost not knowing British politics and political figures.

The only joke I kinda understood was that back in the day there was a British RAF aerobatics team called The Red Arrows, whose signature maneuver was this kind of starburst pattern where the planes flew together and then zoomed off every which way. The cover of Punch had some Pythonesque working class “blokes” cutting this kind of starburst with lawnmowers on the grass, and someone questioned if they were the “Green Arrows.”

  2. I always checked the n7w of nature ranking and vietnam’s 3 nominees always consistent in the first 3 ranks. We have 3 also from the Philippines and its steadily going up the rank. However, we have another one world heritage site , the famous Puerto princesa subterranean River national park or famously known as the underground river..Several people nominated it and I understand the official supporting committee was organized and the local authority gave its approval submitted the docs 2 or 3 weeks ago.No response yet.. No way , you could followed it up with the organizers..No email adds , phone is only fax which never reply back. isn’t that somewhat confusing????
