There was a book about Michael Jackson’s death less than week after he died. I have a feeling the same phenomenon is at work here.

I guess I’m still missing the point. Are people supposed to write books with no expectations of profit?
I think people are supposed to write books to express the purity of their love for Gaia.
The only “point” is the one on top of Ethan’s head. Comparing rapid publishing of the events and issues raised about the CRU and Michael Jackson’s death… pathetic. An attempt to claim purchasers of one will be purchasers of the other? Here?? Noise Ethan, nothing but content-free noise.
I’m saying that the publisher was not ideologically motivated in putting it out, I can almost guarantee it. I work for a publishing company…we do everything from Glenn Beck to Richard Dawkins. Publishing companies rush to get out a book about a controversy as soon as humanly possible, often to the detriment of quality or content. In other words, if the book is well written and thorough, I’ll be shocked.
Most of the blogging about it has been well written and thorough. Why wouldn’t the book be?
