Fire-Breathing Snowman

Yay! It’s snowing in Dallas!
I can say “Yay” because we hardly get snow to begin with and I know it will be melted and gone by tomorrow. Plus it’s all snow and no ice so it makes it actually neat to some degree.

When I was a boy, we had a neighbor who would try to stop any fun activity we were doing. Sometimes he was right to do so but we didn’t appreciate his meddling. We built a 5 foot snow fist with a 3 foot raised middle finger in the vacant lot next to his house. We had coated it with water so it froze solid. He had to use a sledgehammer to knock it down. Needless to say, there was hell to pay over that one.

We get that all the time here in Colorado Springs. We call it the “Little Orphan Annie” snow removal technique, as in “The sun will come out…tomorrow!” Saves a lot of shoveling and plowing.

Love Calvin and Hobbs!
By the way, Rand, the website’s finally back to normal (all three columns side by side).
