That’s what ObamaCare is.

The House has voted to repeal, with four Democrat votes. Now Harry Reid will be on the hot seat.

Comparing the votes:

In 2010, the Democrats passed ObamaCare by a 7 vote margin. In 2011, the Republicans passed the bill to repeal ObamaCare with a 55 vote margin.

In each case, one side of the vote was bi-partisan. In both cases, the bi-partisan vote was against ObamaCare.

That’s because we had to pass the bill to find out what was in it. Though technically, I think that there was one Republican vote for ObamaCare (Cao).

  1. I don’t think the house has actually voted to repeal quite yet. It has merely established the rules (favorable to repeal) under which the actual repeal will be considered.

  2. Chrony socialism indeed. This is political warfare. When they passed Obamacare they won that particular battle and it has had a great impact on the landscape. We fought back in the midterm but it wasn’t a route. If we let them, they will, absolutely will, destroy this country… or make us equal.

    Equal would be a disaster for this country.

    The fight is mostly about money. We should never ever surrender any money by any means they devise to the socialists. We need to attack their funding starting with what they take from us. It’s ridiculous that we fund ‘public’ anything when it all flows back to the socialists.

    We need to bust the unions… all of them.

  3. I think having the vote is a good idea even though everyone knows it won’t get past Obama’s veto pen. And one reason I haven’t heard anybody on tv say is that you will have down on paper who voted AGAINST repeal. That can be a powerful weapon as they expose the various insanities of Obamacare:

    “Obamacare costs YOU $XXX and here’s how. And YOUR representative voted against repeal even though he/she was aware of it.”

  5. I wonder if it’s more about politics than the optics. The fact that the entire Republican caucus kept together and peeled off a few donkeys, might be designed for the Speaker to show Harry Reid and Obama that his troops are disciplined and ready to go to the mat. That gives him leverage in upcoming negotiations over the budget.

  6. Nah, I think it’s more about the acoustics than the optics. They make more noise than those tactiles they just put down in the ol factory.
