Hey, at least he’s got the French on board. So he passes the Global Test.
Uh oh. Looks like someone left the gate open and a few of the herd have began to wonder off the reservation. Time to ramp up the “science is settled” rhetoric for some damage control.
Oops, I swear I posted the above in WFS thread. Perhaps though, the comment is appropriate for here as well.
More importantly the Saudi’s approve.

AQ approves as well.
While Rand Paul supports Assad, along with Russia and China.
Which makes me wonder if the Tea Party has just walked into a trap. If House Republicans vote for a strike the will likely have well funded Tea Party challengers in their primaries while if they vote against a strike they will be showed as being indifferent to the use of chemical weapons against women and children in the general election. (Lots of nasty images to show…). So the Republicans in Congress are really being moved into a no win vote
And since the same campaign showing indifference to women and children being gassed could also be used against the Tea Party winners of the primary election who will likely use this vote as evidence that the existing Republicans are “RINOs” you could well see a turn over of the House of Representatives next year.
What a neat trap!
Not to mention that if the House votes against a strike it will make it easier to show how gridlocked government is as a result, a good image to have to blame the coming debt ceiling dead lock on the Republicans.
Yes, Rand Paul supports Assad so much he wants him gone.
Do you ever read the things you link to?
He wants him gone as a figure head, but he is OK with its friends staying in power. Didn’t you read it?
[[[Paul, a first-term senator and vocal opponent of U.S. intervention overseas, including U.S. foreign aid, said the U.S. should pursue a negotiated settlement where "Assad is gone, but some of the same people [from Assad's regime] remain stable,” because, he said, “that would also be good for the Christians.”]]]
What is the alternative? Islamic theocracy and genocide against Christians isn’t appealing.
Genocide is taking place against Christians all over the Muslim sphere of influence and it is being exacerbated by Obama’s policies. He wont even address the issue in countries like Afghanistan or Egypt much less Nigeria.
