That’s easy… they’ve be running to get to the front of the parade as soon as a private venture shows them which direction to run.
Or more likely they will try to buy them off like they did the New Space firms.
Seriously, this is exactly why NASA needs to be closed down as the last thing anyone needs is them scaring investors away with their over cautious attitudes. Sorry Mr. Wright and Mr. Wright, the great government funded plane Dr, Langley’s built couldn’t fly, why do you think yours will work? In any case, you shouldn’t try it as it doesn’t look safe….
