  1. I never picture myself as an anarchist…not sure how they weight each question, but it seems to be written by some lefty.

You are a: Objectivist Anarchist Isolationist Nativist Traditionalist

    Collectivism score: -83%
    Authoritarianism score: -100%
    Internationalism score: -50%
    Tribalism score: 50%
    Liberalism score: -17%

  2. “You are a: Right-Leaning Anarchist Interventionist Cosmopolitan Moderate
    Collectivism score: -17%
    Authoritarianism score: -83%
    Internationalism score: 17%
    Tribalism score: -17%
    Liberalism score: 0% ”

A lot of pretty stupid question, requiring many maybes. I would preferred a much lower “Collectivism score” and suppose I got highest positive, in internationalism because I pick “maybe” on abolishing UN, rather than saying definitely yes. Or I think we need dialogue on the topic, rather some quick decision.

    1. I picked ‘maybe ‘ on the UN not because I think the UN does any good. I picked it because I don’t want the UN to do bad stuff without the USA being able to stop them – or try. Other items follow in that same vane.

Still I’m a: Conservative Anarchist Non-Interventionist Ultranationalist Fundamentalist

I really didn’t like the way a lot of the questions were phrased. They are not really fooling anyone by not asking honest questions.

  4. Now that’s interesting. The only thing they didn’t call me is my name. Cheers –

  9. I’m not answering all that. The only real answer coming out is ‘this person is confused’.

Plus, I don’t need to test myself to see which ‘group(s)’ I belong in.

I’m disappointed that I didn’t score better in collectivism, but hopefully my internationalism score made up for it.

My biggest complaint is that there wasn’t a “Hell No” option for #24.

  14. You are a: Conservative Anti-Government Progressive

    1. We used to have a political party called the Progressive Conservatives up here in Canada. You get nonsense names like that when the Progressive party merges with the Conservative party. Of course it’s meaningless, like calling something a spherical tetrahedron.

      1. Whoops, as always, I should have googled first. Sorry. Googling “libertarian” and “libertine” was illuminating.

          1. So I see!

This illustrates one of the flaws of the test.

If you leave all the answers blank (which is equivalent to saying “maybe” for all answers) and hit submit, you get “0%” for all five dimensions.

If you answer “yes” to just one question, the question about whether hard drugs should be legal, your score becomes positive in the fifth dimension — you’re closer to becoming a “libertine”.

And that’s silly. I’m stridently anti-drug (and anti-alcohol) in my personal life. I don’t want to see my friends or loved ones ever use the kind of hard drugs which are being referred to. I’m effectively a Mormon – I even avoid caffeine in drinks. I think the current prohibition is causing more tragedies than drugs do, so I’m for legalizing it, but I’m hardly a libertine about it. And I’m not a libertarian about it either: I would happily take your hard earned money (by force!) and use it to convince people that using drugs is a bad idea.

But the test was still fun, so thanks for posting it.

  17. I didn’t take this quiz. I see by the scores posted that this test assumes there are 5 degrees of freedom in describing someone’s politics. This is better than the simplistic Left/Right, but probably overkill. I think the two axis Political Compass is probably more useful.
