  1. There is no law but Sharia

Why that’s just wrong. These jihadist really should consider that the vast majority of muslims are moderate and don’t agree with that statement. I find that statement of theirs offensive and demand that they retract it. Otherwise, whatever happens… they had it coming.

  2. On a more serious note (the above being both satirical and what I believe to be true), it looks like the last official twit was that Centcom had civilian positions available to support the DoD. I suspect they could use some IT experts.

  3. I am less concerned that the Twitter account was hacked than that they also hacked a system that contains the personal information of high ranking military. Twitter vulnerabilities are largely out of control for users but the military should be doing better with its own systems.

  4. You can hardly blame the DoD for the security in Twitter and Youtube. I bet they don’t give a lot of priority to security in something like this anyway.

Knowing Google they do take security seriously so I doubt the problem in Youtube won’t get fixed quickly. Twitter I have no idea.

  5. Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday asks Joint Chiefs Chairman Dempsey if “he is being micro-managed.”

The general gives his usual boilerplate-Army-loyal answer but then he can’t help himself to quip, “Don’t ask me, ask the White House . . .”

Where, people, tell me where have we heard this joke before? A man is challenged for not going along with some plan “by the guys” and one of them asks him, “Hey Fred, are you hen-pecked?” He answers, “Don’t ask me, ask . . . ” OK, you get the idea.

  6. Getting hacked is actually beneficial; a part of the environment. Imagine how insecure our systems would be if they were never hacked? Most hackers are not particularly malicious. Defending against them also defends us from those that are.

Having said that, those in power don’t want us to be secure because they also want to violate us.
