Everybody needs a hobby. Even settlers on Mars.
I’m not so sure about that. The Martian environment is extremely hostile to terrestrial life, in every way from temperature to radiation to toxicity. Any organism that’s adapted to such an environment will probably outcompete invasive species (if such can survive on Mars at all).
