Will 2016 be the year of the defeat of the Social Justice Warriors?
Had progressives wanted to stem the tide of cultural libertarianism, the time to do it was a year ago. They could have edged back, been reasonable and won us all over. But instead they doubled down. Fine: now they get to lose. Let’s defend culture and free expression and push these odious halfwits back into their dreary studio apartments filled with cat-piss and alt rock records and let them know that we’ve decided to opt out of the soft bigotry of San Francisco-style nonsense. We possess a working sense of humour and we’re going to use it whether they like it or not.
Let’s hope. He’s a good general to lead the charge.
To paraphrase Clemenceau, Social Justice is to Justice what Military Music is to Music.
It isn’t going away as it is too deeply entrenched in the Democrat party power structure. When progressives no longer control the schools or the activists, then maybe we can talk about it going away but right now, they feel their power is ascendant.
SJWs remind me of Timothy Treadwell, the famous ‘Grizzly Man’. He considered himself a valiant warrior protecting the bears from humans. The bears didn’t consider him anything at all while they were well-fed, then one day he came too close to a bear that was hungry, which considered him tasty, and ate him.
SJWs have been pushing the boundaries for years and consider themselves valiant warriors, while most on the right have just been ignoring them. Now they’ve pushed too far, and the right have started to fight their side of the war. The SJWs are about to get eaten.
When an SJW demands their boy be allowed to wear a skirt to school, most parents don’t even think about it, and those who do mostly don’t care… but our valiant warrior for social justice claims to have fought to a great victory. When they demand their son be allowed to play on girls’ sports teams and use the girls’ bathrooms and showers, the parents suddenly react with righteous anger because they have no other choice.
“Cultural Libertarianism” : Practice your perversion, if you must. But don’t insist the rest of us legitimize it or carry the cost.
It is that second part that SJWs have a problem with, they aren’t happy until celebration and cost of the perversions are shared.
I often say –
Liberals always end up overplaying their hand … conservatives generally make the mistake of underplaying theirs.
A gross generalization, and there are exceptions that prove the rule, but still a mostly accurate observation, I believe.
Social Justice Warriors! Conservatives, especially women, should be able to have a devastating effect on the Clinton campaign. Go to Clinton speeches (even better if Bill is speaking) and as soon as she mentions women’s rights, protest loudly. Hold up signs. Get thrown out. “Rapist!” “Enabler!” “Child molester!” “Bill Cosby – Bill Clinton!” “You called Gennifer Flowers trailer trash because she was a victim!”
Then, if you’re asked, attack her followers. “How can anyone who cares one bit about victims’ rights support this woman, or cheer for her rapist husband?” Most supporters have probably never heard about this stuff, or taken it seriously.
Don’t coordinate with Republican candidates or anything, just go. It should be impossible for Bill Clinton to lift his head in this campaign.
