Lanny Davis knew precisely what he was doing. He knew that if he said something sensationally anti-Trump the MSM would blare it from the rooftops. All the moonbat lefties would get their chunk of red meat and get all excited.
He also knew that when (not if) he retracted his statement that the MSM coverage of that would be muted and hard to find.
So the result is that the moonbats would not see/hear/believe the retraction and stay revved up for the election.
Sort of like when they claim to not be planning impeachment, while dropping the word impeachment for all to hear.
In the meantime, another big win for Trump and MAGA with a renegotiated NAFTA deal with Mexico, which he said he would deliver. And China apparently is who stole Hillary’s emails (along with my SF-85 form all during the Obama Administration). So expect to hear how Trump colluded with China and is doing their bidding.

The WSJ has had a monumental face-plant over the last two days. Yesterday it was a Tom Steyer op-ed titled Republicans, Save Your Party by Impeaching the President. This morning Gerry Seib’s column titled The ‘Deplorables’ Called Into Battle Again contained this gem:
That’s why Republicans are talking about the specter of impeachment, not Democrats. Democrats know impeachment talk is a surefire way to motivate the other side.

I was watching one of the MSNBC morning shows last week and the host started scolding their Democrat panelists when they talked about impeaching Trump.
Rather amazing what China got away with during the Obama years and Obama’s FBI even lied to us about what foreign powers had access to Hillary’s server. What would Democrats do though when China funds their think tanks?

Not to mention Maxine Waters flapping her gums about impeachment every day.
