A Fit Of Sanity In CA
The PUC has voted to keep gas plants open for a few more years.
California
…is now a Third World country.
Yes, it’s insane. We’ve weathered the weather pretty well. Sunday was miserable hot even at the beach; it hit the mid nineties in the middle of the afternoon, and it was too hot to work in the yard. Fortunately, sea breeze started to cool things down, and the temperature had dropped considerably by early evening. We haven’t had any problem sleeping. I’m hoping that the worst is over, but September is the worst month here. I vastly prefer winter in southern California.
The Lockdowns

Climate Models
More confirmation that they’re overstating atmospheric heating.
Your Old Life
No, you can’t have it back.
New Drugs
…that may block the virus. I think it’s incorrect to call hydroxychloriquine “failed,” though. A lot of doctors continue to swear by it. The opposition to its use was almost totally political, not medical.
Living A Million Years
I think that even I would get pretty bored after only a thousand or so.
The Lockdowns
…are probably killing more people than the virus is.
This doesn’t surprise me at all.
[Tuesday-morning update]
Four life-threatening consequences of the lockdown.
