The Administration Declares War

on Arizona:

“There certainly seems to be an underlying disrespect for the state of Arizona,” says Kris Kobach, the law professor and former Bush administration Justice Department official who helped draft the Arizona law. Kobach points out that during the Bush years, several states openly flouted federal immigration law on issues like sanctuary cities and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. Respecting the doctrines of comity and federalism, the Bush administration didn’t sue. Now, when Arizona passes a measure that is fully consistent with federal law, the Obama administration, says Kobach, “goes sprinting to the courthouse door.”

Too bad they can’t be as tough on, say, Iran.

  1. Some people have wondered alound if the administration’s plan is to destroy America.

I am begining to wonder if it’s true plan is to destroy the Democrat party because that is the outcome the current vector or travel leads to. He is so posioning the brand as to perhaps destroy it for a generation.

Perhaps he is a manchurian candidate, just not like some think.

  2. Maybe if Governor Brewer were to announce plans to start enriching uranium Obama would back off

  3. Hey, be thankful for small favors… at least the Obamaites are using legal means to push their agenda, instead of just issuing an executive order overturning the Arizona law by fiat ….

  4. Arizona is suffering from being isolated in the crosshairs of the left. They are the target of the Feds, and have also been targeted by the city of Los Angeles. They need a political “counteroffensive” on both fronts. I would love to see them offer tax incentives to companies to relocate to AZ from Los Angeles, (eroding an already shaky tax base of a bloated city entity) as well as try to enlist the support of other sympathetic state governments affected by the Feds dereliction of duty on our borders. If the AZ governor was able to get other states or cities to support them, it would make the Federal efforts to overturn the AZ law look even more heavy-handed and bullying than it already does. Obamas folks are on the wrong side of this issue, make them pay the maximum political price.

There’s word that he’s going to proclaim Amnesty by Executive Order.

So what? The Constitution just gets in the way, right?

  6. The funny thing is: It isn’t too many years ago that California had actual border guards with other states. They were trying to protect their food industry from various invasive species carried by tourists, etc. They’d treat it like you were pulled over and often ask for your license….

    And that was internal.

  7. There’s word that he’s going to proclaim Amnesty by Executive Order.

What happens to the illegals in 2012 when they no longer have amnesty? Perhaps this is Obama’s way of getting the illegals deported? Naw, it’s just his talent for imprinting bus treads on everyone he interacts with.

  8. So what’s the left going to called documented illegals when they all get documents during the two years they can? (Assuming an Obama executive order.)
