OWS

In honor of their latest vileness, @SooperMexican has started a new hash tag: #HonestOWSchants

Plus, he’s hijacked another one: #NoNATO

So here’s my question. How does this differ from the usual Marxist/anarchist violent asininity that generally accompanies G-whatevernumber or NATO summits? It’s the same moronic thugs, and nothing new. Well, except for the fact that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and top Democrats endorsed them.

  1. I want to know how people with no visible means of support, run around all over the world, rioting, picketing and BSing about how the poor are getting raped by the rich!?

I’m not rich, but my wife and I are comfortable. However, with the economy funky, we’ve not had a real vacation in 4 years. It’s been eating into any possibility of vacating, just keeping up with rising prices. In fact, any probable savings we would have had from buying this house, instead of renting our old apartment, have been eaten up too.

Certainly, I expect there are people WAY more poor than we are, who have never had a vacation and don’t eat three meals a day.

Supposedly, those are the ‘poor’ that the OWS / NATO protestors are out there for. They want to tax the ‘rich’ to pay for the needs of the poor. But who pays the protestors? Where does their funding come form, or from whom? I’ve seen video of these cranks talking about having been in London and Tokyo, protesting other G-8 , G-20, and God knows what all.

Maybe if they worked, and donated part of their paychecks it would help. I’m all for protest. But rioting and theft in Chicago, London, Tokyo or East Armpit won’t fill the bellies of the starving in Africa, Asia or East Armpit.

  2. Oh geez. Not yet another inane movement on Twatter. I do not use Twatter precisely because it is full of garbage like this.

  3. I have my own thoughts regarding NATO (most of their actions have clearly overstepped their mandate as a purely defensive alliance) but still Twatter tripe is tripe.

  4. The all occasion chant…

    “1-2-3-4 I don’t know what I’m here for.”

Others are funnier, but this just seems to sum it all up.

Der Schtumpy, I don’t know about air fare, but other than that we live in a world where you can get by for surprisingly little. Imagine if you didn’t pay rent, for food and cut out all the little things like cable tv that you don’t need. What’s left? You don’t own a car either.

My brother never had a drivers license in his life (he’s 51.) He did have a CDL for exactly one day after passing a course and then driving drunk. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t drive, including stealing my vehicles and getting them impounded at my expense. He once even stole a Semi-truck tractor because he didn’t want to walk someplace. He is a one man crime wave.

He isn’t however into politics. He’s got other talents. The point is, street people don’t pay for food and may not pay much if anything for lodging. They go to political rallies because it’s a source for food and entertainment.

I suspect those with airfare have connections with some organizations that organize these astroturf rallies. The biggest expense they have is for drugs, alcohol and cigarettes.
