  1. Still ahead of George W Bush then, by a comfortable margin 🙂

And isn’t it interesting that he’s SOOOOOOOO bad and yet still ahead of Mittens in the polls and such.

My goodness, watching this is even more fun than last time. It’ll make November more fun.

    1. The polls have been all over the place; some show Romney with a big lead and ones released later in the same week show Obama with a big lead. Polls really wont mean much until October and watching them closely everyday will just make you batty or entertained by the schadenfreude of both parties in your case.

    2. Obama only leads slightly in national polls and often within the margin of error. But what you really need to look at are the battleground states. It’s all about the electronal college after all not the national popular vote. And in 15 battleground states Romney holds a lead outside of the margin of error. Every President that has won reelection has won all the states they originally won in the first election. And then, they have picked up at least one more. Obama is looking to actually lose in several of the states he originally won in 2008. Not to mention that Romney has been raising more money lately. And there is a possibility that the Dem’s aren’t going to have a convention this year since nobody seems to want to show up. Either way you look at it the polls are so neck and neck right now. Really neither side should get too cocky.

  2. So, you obviously are an Obama supporter. Why? Is it a congenital inability to process information and make intelligent decisions, or is it an acquired defect?

  3. Since it’s July 3rd, and I won’t be posting tomorrown it makes me wonder again: “Do ‘liberals’ celebrate July 4th? If so, what in the name of Jehovah and the Continental Congress are they celebrating?” Last year I asked this and Chris Gerrib gave an answer on the lines of: “I celebrate that we won the right to choose our government (so that we change it into something more statist).” If that were the point, Adams and Jefferson should have saved themselves the travel expenses to Philadelphia, and Washington should have stayed home in Mount Vernon instyead of freezing his false teeth in Valley Forge.

This year I’d be wondering specifically what Obama thinks he’s celebrating, but no doubt whateer lip-service “Il Dufe” pays to the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, he’ll probably be high-five-ing with George Soros on helping undo what the Fourth was all about. Or maybe celebrating a DIFFERENT kind of holiday:

Me, I’ll be listening, not for fireworks, but the sound of the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves.

  4. Woah now. James Earl Carter served his country in uniform, earned his own money in a trade where the penalty for incompetence was going broke, and served in elected office in an executive position before his stint as President. He never held his school records as state secrets and he never (while in office) abased himself before foreign princes. As shameful as his presidency was, I’d say he has a LOT going for him over Barry Obama.

    1. Carter was also pretty open about his philosophy, which I guess could be summarized as the Social Gospel (or as I call it, “the Superstition Trifecta”). Obama likes to pretend he’s a “moderate” and glimpses into his real worldview come out mainly in slip-ups (for example, telling Joe the Plumber “wealth is better when it’s spread around;” then having his troops dogpile on Joe like Obama admitting his Red Diaper roots was JOe’s fault).

      1. Bilwick1,
I don’t think he’s pretending at all. Much like the rest of the Progs, he sees Pol Pot as the Left, Bush, Hitler and Rove as the Right, and himself in the middle.

I’m not surmising this, I know a number of loopy leftys who are themselves supporters on The One, because they see him as they see themselves, using that political yard stick.

At least one of them, a ‘friend’ of over 30 years, will no longer talk to me because I carry a gun, something, “…only a Nazi would do!” To say they are delusional is so short of the truth, that I don’t have a term in my vocabulary.
