  1. Instead of fixing this problem by improving the existing Medicaid program, Obamacare severely worsens Medicaid’s structure, by shoving an additional 11 to 17 million people—disproportionately men—into Medicaid. This means that state governments will have to divert even more resources away from the women who are already in the program.

Except that 1) states don’t have to expand Medicaid, and 2) if they choose to expand Medicaid, the federal government picks up 100% of the cost, dropping to 90% after a few years. There are estimates that even the 90% reimbursement will more than pay for the increased coverage, since states will collect taxes on the economic activity generated by those federal funds.

So Obamacare wages war on women who receive Medicaid by expanding eligibility and increasing funding. What a horror! By contrast, what do Romney/Ryan (whom Mr. Roy advises) do to “strengthen” Medicaid? They drastically cut back funding, forcing 10s of millions of recipients out. Lucky women!

      Woot! Free money!

      1. Of course — the Fed has an infinite supply of currency.

Too bad it lacks an infinite supply of doctors, hospitals, medicine, etc…

  2. DISCLOSURE: I am an outside adviser to the Romney campaign on health care issues.

Oh hell, that’s just as good as a report from the CBO.
