  1. Even if it did, the NRO would reform as the NRRO.
The assets of NRO aren’t very much and it’s an unprofitable entity.
A NRRO would start publishing again with a clean slate.

Sell the few assets, which are some office furniture and computers at an auction, and
file for dissolution. Take the mailing list and seed a new entity.

The dirty secret of Right Wing media is it’s mostly unprofitable. The Washington Times,
NR, American Spectator, these are all vanity press.

    1. Oh, goody. More idiotic commentary from the village idiot.

As opposed to that media powerhouse, Newsweek, that was sold for a dollar.

      Moron.

    1. And don’t forget the Guardian in the UK. I don’t remember the last time that made a profit.

The dirty secret of mass media is that it’s mostly unprofitable now readers have many other alternatives outside the mainstream.

  2. I thought about writing a counter-commentary to dn-guy’s post. But I thought I could spend my time more profitably having a discussion with Crazy Leroy, the guy who dresses in newspapers and hangs out at the near-by bus station eating his boogers in between shouting out “BUSH!!!” And you know, it was a better use of my time after all. By contrast, Leroy is the Voice of Reason.

  3. Graph of “Opinion Magazine Circulation” near the bottom of this State of the Media link from 2011.

National Review matches The Nation and The New Republic combined and is going up (as is The Weekly Standard, while they’re going down. Time, Newseek, and US News and World Report are of course in the dumps, while The Economist continues to gain ground.
