  1. I used to try crap like this on my parents when I was a kid and got caught doing something stupid. I think my parents were related to Howie.

  2. Somewhat related:

My first thought was the Vietnam-era antiwar slogan “Suppose they gave a war and nobody came?”

There is actually a 70’s movie by that name, set in the WW-II era, but since it was the early 70’s, you know it was a thinly disguised anti-Vietnam War film. Read this synopsis on Wikipedia

  3. I’m not holding my breath. The IG report recommended an audit and so did the FISA court. Niether wanted to punish the clear wrong doing they were exposed to and instead sought to distract the public and punish no one.

  4. “A reckoning will come for these political hacks.”

Really? If so, it would be the first time in…well, probably in American history.

One of Carr’s closing lines alluded to Vince Foster, which will automatically cause most readers to reject his whole story. After all, everyone knows that Foster committed suicide. But when lifelong Washingtonians are asked where Fort Marcy Park is, they draw a blank. It’s not in DC, it’s in Fairfax Virginia, across the Potomac. In between Georgetown and Fort Marcy Park is another national park, Glover Archbald Park, which you’d have to drive through to get to Fort Marcy via the Chain Bridge. Glover Archbald Park is literally right next to Georgetown. And the route to Fort Marcy via the Chain Bridge is not straightforward. On top of that, both Rock Creek Park (in DC) and Roosevelt Island are both closer to and more accessible from Georgetown.

The only thing that distinguishes Fort Marcy Park is that it’s closer to CIA Headquarters in McLean, VA than Georgetown is to the White House. I wonder if that’s significant?

    1. I don’t know where Vince Foster died or who killed him, but I’m quite confident that it didn’t happen in Fort Marcy Park and, given that, it seems unlikely that he killed himself. He was probably as surprised to learn that he was about to commit suicide as Jeffrey Epstein was.
